Friday Musical Interlude

With apologies for stealing my friend Dave von Ebers deal, I post this in memory of Dan Seals who passed yesterday of cancer too young, at 61.  He had a couple of songs I liked so I thought it would be the right thing to do…

No problemo, Rich. I mean, what’s mine is yours … now that we’ve got a Marxist-Leninist-Socialist-Leftist-Communist America-Hating black man from Kenya in the White House!!! Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Richard ... just caught the end of the MSU - Kansas game ... Way to Effin' Go!!!

That game was INTENSE. I thought we'd lost for sure, I thought we'd won for sure, I thought we'd lost for sure...

That was some clutch playing at the end. Louisville today. Gonna be tough...

Speaking of Way-to-Effin'-Go ... Way to Effin' Go!!!

Now, two of my favorite bloggers -- you and David Rees (UNC) -- have teams in the Final Four. Ideally, MSU would beat UNC in a close one for the national championship. Although, I suppose for your sake it ought to be MSU in a blowout. I know how those close games can be hard on one's heart.

Anyway, I'm really, really glad the Spartans are in the Final Four. Way to effin' go.

Thanks, Dave. I gotta tell 'ya, even when we were up 15 with 5 mins to go I was still worried. I didn't think we'd beat Louisville, much less blow then out like that. I'm guessing U-Con is gonna be tough (they've been winning their games in the tourney by an average of 54 ppg, I think) but what the hell, we'll show up and see what happens. I'm thinking MSU screwed up a lot of brackets yesterday. Good!

Ugh... I met Dan Seals twice, and he was a great human being in addition to being a tremendous talent. "Sneaky Moon" is my personal favorite, along with "We Are One." But I still fume at how long it took for the label to release Seals & Crofts on CD. He'll be missed...
