Hey, Richard. How is it that your Redwings lost a game in the Stanley Cup finals, huh? Not gloating here. I assume they'll win it in, like, five or six games. But after they survived the Mighty Blackhawks, I would've expected a sweep.

Not me, Dave. Pitts tough. A really good team. I thought six or seven with Det winning only because they have better goaltending--which is somewhat ironic given the shit they give Chris Osgood in this town.

Okay, I guess my attempt at hockey-related humor falls flat. I don't know enough about either team to have any idea who will or should win. I was poking fun at the, uh, "Mighty" Blackhawks ... who should've put up more of a fight against Detroit, is all.

Dave--I had a lot of respect for Chicago. I thought the way the Blackhawks handled Vancouver they'd give Det a run. Plus they've got that Bowman guy who's won the Cup in various capacities 12 or 13 times of whatever the hell it is...

Wise are you in the ways of hockey, my friend.

Go Redwings.

Richard, the ’Wings better win this thing, or you’re going to start thinking I’m, like, the kiss of freaking death.

(Ever see that William H. Macy flick, The Cooler? That’s how I’m starting to feel …)

Dave:
It's, uh, two words, my friend. Red Wings. Of course, I can never remember if it's Blackhawks or Black Hawks, so who am I to say anything?

Then how come my spell checker don't correct me when I say Redwings, huh?

(Congrats on game 5, by the by.)
